Whether you are a filmmaker, teacher, doctor or artist web design is useful to everyone. You might be making a website for yourself, a friend or granny's jam making club. Web Design is useful for everyone and you don't need a lot of knowledge t make a website. Quick disclaimer before we start, you don't need any previous knowledge to make a website and you will never need to code (I know the image bellow was a bit misleading).
So let's start, first of all, what software do you want to use? There are loads of free web deign platforms like Wordpress and Wix. Personally, I use Wix. It's great for a really easy way at making websites. Do keep in mind that you can use google and Wix Help Center for website elements that you are confused or stuck on. So here is your exercise:

You should create a website for a brand of your choice, such as Apple, Nike or Granny's Jam Making Club™.
The website must include a logo (designed by yourself or a free online logo maker)
It should include images to show what the brand is about.
Different pages.
A brief paragraph of information about the brand.
Social links
A menu
A header and Footer

Parallax scroll effects
Add a strip
Add a video
Adding a YouTube channel
Adding an Instagram Feed
Adding buttons across your website that lead to different pages of websites
Add a contact page
